Giving Back to the Community
Attorneys Deborah Nelson and Jeff Boyd have a long history of giving back to the community by donating their time and money to a variety of community organizations that help others.
For years, Deborah competed in athletic endurance events with Team in Training (“TNT”) on its cycling, marathon, and triathlon teams to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (“LLS”). In just three years, Deborah raised over $30,000 for LLS. Deborah says “I am so thankful for the gift of good health and appreciate the opportunity to raise money for those who aren’t as fortunate.”
Jeff gives back by donating his time and talents to help train the next generation of lawyers. Jeff has served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Washington School of Law where he taught Trial Advocacy classes to law students. He has also served as a lecturer and coach for young lawyers with the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA). “Being in the courtroom is my favorite place to be – there is an energy and sense of accomplishment that can’t be beat. I was fortunate enough to have some wonderful mentors and teachers when I was a young lawyer and I’m happy to do what I can to help young lawyers become effective advocates for their clients.”
