Target has agreed to settle the class action lawsuit filed against it by banks as a result of the 2013 data security breach for $39 million dollars. Nelson Boyd represented Umpqua Bank and Sound Community Bank in this lawsuit. Our clients are the true heroes because they reimbursed their customers for losses and promptly reissued credit cards and because they sued Target to hold it accountable for failing to protect its customers’ financial data and identities.
