Deborah Nelson and Jeff Boyd are avid cyclists who enjoy spending time on the Olympic Discovery Trail in Sequim and Port Angeles. They are also proud to represent people in wheelchairs in claims involving the failure of big box stores to fully comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) to make their businesses accessible for those in wheelchairs. Nelson Boyd’s work on these cases has forced many large corporations to fix the access to their businesses so everyone can shop there.
Ian Mackay is a local hero on the Olympic Discovery Trail, traveling thousands of miles on the trail each year in his motorized wheelchair. On August 13th, he embarks on “Ian’s Ride – Rolling Across Washington,” riding his motorized wheelchair from Anacortes to Vancouver, WA to bring awareness to accessibility issues in Washington and the need for more accessible paths and trails. Ian and his ride embody everything we admire – courage, determination, adventure, and making a difference in the lives of others.
Nelson Boyd is happy to be a sponsor of Ian’s Ride and to play a small role in helping Ian Mackay achieve his goals.
Roll on, Ian!!
